I love the fact that if we are willing to be used by the Lord that He will use us.
2Timothy 2:21 Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from what is dishonorable, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as Holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.
Today was awesome in that way. I started out with a blessing this morning as I went to pickup what I thought would be only one store. There was more food than usual from the one store which was a blessing. The next blessing came when I stopped by the store that is in question right now to talk to the manager. I was blessed to have the employees tell me that they were not letting the other person have the food. I told them to not get in trouble over this. They said that they know what we do and they do not want anyone else to have it. The employees at these stores have become good friends. They are members of our "Food Lion Churches". We have ministered to many of the employees. Please continue to pray for this situation. We feel with what we have heard of this person that is trying to take over these stores that this is a direct attack from the enemy.
On my way to Oldham Towers to drop off the food I passed a prostitute sitting on the steps of a church. I was going to just keep going but was led to go around the block to make sure she was ok. I asked her is she was ok and she said yes. I then asked her if she was hungry and again she said yes. I pulled over and got some food together. Her name is Kelly and she is really getting beat down on these streets. We have dealt with her in the past and the crack is eating her up. I asked her if she wanted to get off the streets and she answered that she wasn't quite ready. I told her that none of us are promised tomorrow. I told her that I did not want to see her end up in hell for eternity. She said again that she was getting tired of doing what she is doing. She asked me for a card which is a good sign and I ask that you pray that she will call. I told her that we would place her in a women's program in Atlanta is she wants to go. I also let them know that there is another program that we would use in Fort Myers, Florida. Pray for Kelly!!!
I dropped off the food to Oldham Towers and shared Jesus there. I have been trying to locate an ex-prostitute that attends a program there but could not find her. I drove off but was led to go back and wait a little longer for her. I was waiting when I heard someone yell "Pastor Terry". I looked up a few floors and it was Ben who I ministered to a couple weeks ago. Ben is an individual who has had a relationship with Jesus in the past. At the present time he is a crack addict, addicted to prescription drugs, addicted to porn, an adulterer, a fornicator and is HIV positive just to name some of what is going on in his life. Ben told me that he just had came off of the worst crack binge that he has ever had. He shared with me that he was really concerned about going to hell which I feel that he should be very concerned about. He said that he recently rode to a meeting with a Baptist pastor that told him that he had nothing to worry about eternally because the fact that he had once accepted Jesus into his life. THIS IS A REAL PROBLEM!!! This teaching is going to cause thousands of people to bust hell wide open!!! If what the pastor said was true then you have a "crack addict, addicted to prescription drugs, addicted to porn, an adulterer, and a fornicator CHRISTIAN??? I believe that pastors or anyone that tell people like this that they are Christians and will spend eternity in heaven will have their blood on their hands when they stand before the Lord!!!
Ezekiel 33:7 So you, son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear the word at My mouth and give them warning from Me. 8 When I say to the wicked, O wicked man, you shall surely die, and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his perversity and iniquity, but his blood will I require at your hand. 9 But if you warn the wicked to turn from his evil way and he does not turn from his evil way, he shall die in his iniquity, but you will have saved your life.
I found out that I was not there to attempt to find the ex-prostitute. I found out that I was there for Ben. Ben doesn't believe what the pastor told him and I am glad. Ben asked me to tell him what to do. I told him that he needed to draw closer than ever to the Lord and that I would help him. I will start allowing time after dropping the food off to meet with him. I told him if he felt the urge to use to call me regardless of the time of night. Ben shared with me that he had just got up when he heard the Lord say to him that He loved him. He said that he got emotional when he glanced out the window and saw our van sitting there. He said that felt that the Lord sent me to him today. I told him how it worked that I had left then was led to return. I strongly feel that my return was to see Ben. Please pray for Ben that he will seek the Lord and that he will refuse the temptations of the enemy.
UPDATE - "D" who entered rehab a couple weeks ago has been calling me to come and pick him up which I am in no way going to do. I told him that again this evening. He had left the program and was stranded. He was stranded at the corner of God's Way & My Own Way. I told him before he left that I would not help him if chose to quit the program and I had to stick to it. Eileen and I started praying and about 15 minutes later "D" was calling again to say that he was going to stay in the program. HE CHOSE GOD'S WAY!!! He said that "he must decrease so the Lord can increase into his life". What a blessing!!! Praise the Lord!!!
UPDATE - We have 4 roaster ovens paid for. We need only 1 more ($25). We have 3 tables and we need 5 more. Target has them on sale this week for $35. We have a big "Happy Birthday Jesus" event on the 19th of December so we are trying to get this stuff around. We so much appreciate the help that we have received and we appreciate anyone else that can help us to complete this need. God Bless you all!!!
